Antique French Coquemar
An antique French coquemar with a warm amber-orange glaze. Made in 18th–19th century France, these cooking vessels were set directly into the hearth for daily use. Coquemars are increasingly scarce, especially in earthenware examples with such vivid coloration. The missing feet and timeworn surface speak to its long life by the fire, where form and function shaped the rhythms of French country kitchens.
Measures: 6” wide x 2.5” mouth opening x 4.5” tall
Please note: Vintage and antique pieces carry the character of time. Wear, patina, and imperfections are part of their history and add to their authenticity.
