Primitive Jelly or Linen Cabinet

This 19th-century Virginia jelly cupboard remains one of the few to survive the Civil War’s destruction, when fire erased much of the region’s homes and furnishings. Simple in its primitive design yet remarkable in endurance, it has been restored and refined with care, allowing its story to continue.
